Last week in Hollywood, California, our team at JCC Construction GroupĀ completed a major milestone on a high-profile project: a 300-yard concrete foundation pourĀ on a massive 24,000 sq ft lot. With a full crew, site supervisors, and city inspectors on hand, this was more than just a pourāit was a showcase of precision, planning, and teamwork.
When you're building something this big, the foundation has to be perfect. And thatās exactly what we delivered.
š Project Overview
Location: Hollywood, CA
Scope: Foundation grading, rebar installation, and 300-yard concrete pour
Size: 24,000 sq ft lot
Team: 20+ workers, inspectors on site, leadership from both JCC and the buildingās GC
Next Phase: Vertical construction handled by another contractor, following our groundwork

š§± What Goes Into a 300-Yard Pour?
This isnāt your average driveway job.
To lay the foundation for a structure of this size, our crew prepped:
Thousands of feet of rebar, tied and placed per engineering spec
Strategically segmented pour zonesĀ for clean transitions and strength
Grade-checked formwork and moisture barriers
Laser-leveled screeds and finishersĀ ready to go in shifts
We worked in coordination with the ready-mix supplier to ensure timed truck arrivals, and kept everything flowing with military-level precision.
š· On-Site Leadership: Carlos + Ownership Presence
This project wasnāt just another jobāit had eyes on it. One of our owners, Carlos, was on site all day, actively managing the pour timing, coordinating crew movement, and walking with the inspector. His presence ensured:
No pour gaps or cold joints
Real-time issue resolution
Spot-on communication between labor, machinery, and oversight
Even more powerfulāthe owner of the final building project was there too, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with us, watching as we built the foundation their structure will rise from.
ā Inspection-Ready, Start to Finish
With a city inspector on site throughout the pour, there was zero room for error. JCC coordinated:
Pre-inspection of rebar cages and slab prep
Continuous spot-checks during pour
Adjustments made live, without disrupting the flow
By the end of the day, we had a fully approved, fully cured slab, ready for vertical framing to begin.
š§ Our Role: We Build the FoundationāLiterally
